The Parks and Recreation
Department is
governed by a five member Parks and Recreation Commission.
Commission members are appointed by the Mayor.

Beckie Lacey Mark Meyer Bryce Cook Leon Binstock Greg Hohl In addition to the Parks and Recreation Commission, a twelve member Parks and Recreation Advisory Board serves to provide oversight and direction for the department. Comprising this board are two representatives of the Mayor and City Council of Wahoo, one representative of the Senior Center, the five Parks and Recreation Commissioners, and four “at-large” board members who are elected by the Civic Center membership. At-large directors serve two year terms. Each year two at-large positions on the board need to be filled. The at-large positions may only be filled by individuals who are Civic Center members. Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets as necessary, typically on
the first Wednesday of each
month at 6:30pm at the Senior Center.
